Managers kōrero

Kia ora everyone and welcome to 2023.

We hope you’ve all had an amazing summer and are looking forward to the netball season kicking off very soon.

I would like to introduce our wonderful team of coordinators that, supported by Laura and myself, are busy behind the scenes getting ready to bring to life a number of awesome programmes for the season (see also below organisation chart):

Our newsletter is filled with heaps of information as we near the start of the season. Make sure you grab a cuppa, sit down with your calendar, have a read and lock in some dates to ensure you make the most of everything we have to offer. You will find in our newsletter more details about the following:

  • SNC Youth Group
  • Premier “One” Programme
  • U16 Emerging Talent
  • Coaching and umpiring workshops

In the coming weeks our outdoor courts at the Lincoln Domain are all being resurfaced, which I am sure you will share the same excitement as us to have fresh newly resurfaced courts available for this season. This means that for most of April, our outdoor courts will be unavailable for use if anyone is planning on training there, you may need to find an alternative option unfortunately.

As most club trials are coming to an end, we hope you have all found your home for the season. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Please keep in the forefront of your minds that our community is run by an amazing passionate group of volunteers who continually dedicate hours and hours of their time ensuring a quality netball experience for our 2500 members. From the people who are sending out emails about registrations, to the selectors putting together teams, to the umpires officiating your trials and the coaches putting their hands up to lead teams – just about everyone you have connected with so far is a volunteer. Living through our Centre values of community, enjoyment, respect and integrity, please ensure we are thanking our volunteers at every opportunity possible, or even better, putting our hands up to help! We all know the saying – more hands make light work.

Enjoy your week and look forward to seeing you out on the courts very soon.

Kia pai tō rā,

Tash
