We meet on Tuesday and Thursday each week at the Sturges West Community House at 58 Summerland Drive.

"Lemon Squeezers" troop out at 9.15 a.m. walk 5 - 6 kms, and return by 10.30 a.m.

We return to the Community House for a cuppa. $1 per walk covers hire of facilities and cuppa.

We generally walk locally, through quiet suburban streets, as well as bush tracks and reserves surrounding the Opanuku and Paremuka Streams. Walks range over the flat Ranui and Lincoln areas and the hillier Henderson Heights.

Summerland Walkers have been meeting since the Sturges West Community House opened in 2006. We are a mixed group of men and women who believe in the benefits of walking to help us stay physically healthy and mentally alert. Many of us are retired and we enjoy spending time together, as well as meeting new faces.
