Welcome to the Gee & Hickton sponsored Men's Over 60's Fours to be played on Mon 30th and Tuesday 31st March.

The long range weather forecast for the two days is not looking the flashest with showers both days and a wind change from northwesterlies on Monday to southwesterlies on Tuesday.  We have time yet for them to change their minds and deliver dry weather.

As forecasted, wet weather over the weekend forced the closure of Green 1 on Monday with intermittent drizzle all day Monday which would not have been pleasant to play in. This resulted in a shortened one-day competition of 4 rounds on the Tuesday with teams swapping greens after the lunch break for 2 games each on the grass and carpet.

We welcomed 20 teams again this year, 3 from home and visitors from Lyall Bay in the south to Raumati and Paraparaumu Beach up the coast and Greytown over the hill, thank you all for your support.

The winners with 3 wins and a draw were the Greytown team skipped by Donald Walker with a short notice local substitute from last year's winning team.  In second place was Greyway's Titahi Bay team with 3 wins and 26 ends, and in third place was Trevor Ross' Johnsonville team with 2 wins, 2 draws and  21 ends. Draws were fairly regular with 9 in the 40 games played with 8 all the most popular score.

There were also prizes for the remaining teams with Pool winners going to Khandallah's Keith Scott and Johnsonville's Allan McLean. The Lucky teams were Raumati's Sam Kwok and Don Trevethick.

The completed draw is shown and is also available at Tawa Events.
