Camps

Horowhenua Pony Club runs a 6-day camp in late December/early January each year. It includes some great treks, fun activities, team activities, educational talks and finishes with a gymkhana. To attend you need to be able to ride independently and be able to look after your pony/horse with minimal assistance. It’s heaps of fun for riders and parents and plenty of opportunity for parents to be involved.

NZPCA have also started running a camp at the National Equestrian Centre at Taupo. This is also run in January and is open to all members. Activities include coaching, trekking, theory and lots of fun activities.
