BEACH/GRASS NETBALL

What is Beach/Grass Netball?

Beach and Grass Netball are played the same way but on different surfaces - Sand or Grass!

It's a modified 5 V 5 game that's lots of fun and includes 1 and 2-point goals, diving for the ball and rolling subs.

What equipment do you need?

  • 1 x portable court (with pegs)
  • 1 x portable goal
  • 1 x ball
  • 1 x weight (for the goal)
  • 2 x sets of bibs - different colours, positions are not required as players can movely freely throughout the court and anyone can shoot!

What are the rules?

Teams attempt to score 1 and 2 point goals from the same goal in order to win the game.

If the opposing team intercepts the ball they must pass the ball back to the end Zone before returning to the shooting box to shoot for goal.

1-point is scored in the shooting box

2-point goal is scored outside the shooting box

There is no offside but a max of 2 people can be inside the shooting box at any one time.

Anyone can shoot!

You can dive for the ball and pass from the ground!

Our Youth Development is happy to run you through it!

BEACH/GRASS COURT BOOKINGS

Simply contact gncyouthdevelopment@outlook.com to make a booking.

Our Youth Development Officer will bring the court to school and demonstrate how to set it up.

You can also request a training session for her to explain the rules of the game.

If you need the loan of a portable goal and weights please advice.

What is the cost for booking?
