Uniform Expectations
At Ōtāhuhu Intermediate School, our uniform is an important part of our school identity. Wearing the correct uniform helps students feel a sense of pride, belonging, and connection to our kura.
We expect all students to wear their uniform correctly and take responsibility for looking after their uniform items.
Compulsory Uniform
The school uniform and PE uniform are compulsory for all students.
Students are expected to:
- Wear the correct school uniform to and from school every day
- Wear the correct school uniform or PE uniform while at school
- Take care of their uniform and avoid losing items
- Make sure all uniform items are clearly named
If Your Child Does Not Have the Correct Uniform
If a student is missing an item of uniform or is wearing incorrect uniform, they must bring a note from home explaining the reason.
This note should be given to an Associate Principal. A uniform pass may be issued for a suitable period of time while the uniform issue is sorted.
Attendance Comes First
Not having the correct uniform is never a reason to stay home from school.
We still expect students to attend school every day. If there is a uniform issue, please send your child to school with a note so we can support them.
