Annual Ōpoutama Beach Run
Our Annual Beach Run at beautiful Ōpoutama Beach is a long-standing tradition at Te Mahia School, celebrating resilience, participation, and pride in our place. Held each year, this event brings together students, whānau, and staff for a fun, energetic day by the moana.
While it’s a competitive event with timed races and age group categories, it’s also about personal achievement, whanaungatanga, and supporting one another. Whether running for a placing or simply to finish, every student is celebrated for giving it a go.
This treasured event connects us to our whenua, strengthens taha tinana (physical wellbeing), and reflects our school spirit in action.
