Wairoa ANZAC Competition
Te Mahia School proudly participated in the recent Wairoa ANZAC Writing and Art Competition, an initiative led by the Wairoa RSA to honour and reflect on the significance of ANZAC Day. This annual competition invites students to share their thoughts, feelings, and understanding of ANZAC through either written or visual expression, responding to the prompt:
"What is the significance of continuing to commemorate ANZAC Day?"He aha te tikanga o te whakahīhī anō i te Rā ANZAC?
We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of two of our tamariki:
Niwa – 2nd Place in the Year 1–2 Art Category
Celia – 1st Place in the Year 7–8 Writing Category and Overall Winner in the Writing Section
Prizegiving was held at Wairoa College on Wednesday 30th April. We are incredibly proud of both girls for representing Te Mahia School with excellence and heart.
