We Are a Proud Duffy School
At Te Mahia School, we are proud to be part of the Duffy Books in Homes programme. Being a Duffy School means our tamariki receive free books to take home, helping to build a love of reading and create personal libraries in their own homes.
Throughout the year, we celebrate reading with Duffy assemblies, reading awards, and visits from Duffy Role Models—inspirational guests who share how reading has helped them succeed in life.
This initiative also encourages reading at home, building strong connections between whānau and school. It’s all about nurturing a love of literacy and supporting our students on their learning journey.
