School Cross Country at Pongaroa Station
Our Te Mahia School Cross Country is a much-anticipated event held in Term 3 at the stunning Pongaroa Station, generously hosted by our farm managers, Margie and BJ Parker.
Set across rolling hills, paddocks, and true country terrain, this event is a genuine test of grit, determination, and resilience — a real cross country experience! It’s not just about the race — it’s about bringing our school and wider community together to celebrate effort, courage, and support for one another.
Whānau gather in great numbers to cheer on the tamariki, and the day always ends with a well-earned sausage sizzle and shared kai. It's a day full of manaakitanga, fun, and school pride — one of the highlights of our school calendar.
