Nanny Readers – Friday Morning Reading with Heart
Every Friday morning, we are fortunate to welcome our treasured Nanny Readers into Te Mahia School. These wonderful kuia volunteer their time to read with our tamariki, giving our learners the invaluable opportunity to practise reading aloud in a safe, supportive environment. Their presence not only nurtures literacy but also fosters deep manaakitanga and whakawhanaungatanga between generations. Our tamariki thrive through these interactions, building confidence, connection, and a love for reading. We are incredibly grateful for the aroha and time our Nannies gift us each week.
