There are numerous events you can compete locally or nationally at whilst representing Waimea College in Touch Rugby. 

On a weekly basis, teams play at either the Waimea Old Boys touch competition at Jubilee Park which is played on a Wednesday night or in the Nelson league which is played on a Friday night at the Tahuna fields.  These teams are organised and entered by the players themselves, rather than the school.

Each year we have multiple teams enter in the Junior Tasman Secondary School Touch Rugby Championships which is held in Term 4. Teams can be made up of friends or we can help you get placed in a team

The Seniors play their season split in term 1 and 4. The South Island Secondary School Championships is played in March and Nationals is played later in December.

Uniforms

Those students named in our Senior A Mixed Touch team will have the opportunity to purchase their own playing uniform. All other students will borrow uniforms from the Sports Office.
