Rugby at Waimea College

This year we will have U14 boys and U15 boys teams play under Waimea College in the newly formed weekly College competition which begins in Term 3.

At Waimea College we work alongside the local Rugby Clubs to offer the best opportunities for all students.

Our senior students play in the Waimea Combined First XV Rugby team which compete in the Miles Toyota Championship against schools in the top half of the South Island.

Each year we have an Under 15 tournament team that travels and competes in the Rural Livestock Under15 South Island Tournament. This is held during Winter Tournament Week (31st August - 2nd September).

We also send a girls 10's team to the Buller Girls Rugby 10's Cup which is held in Westport annually during Winter Tournament Week (31st August - 2nd September).
