Hockey at Waimea College

Waimea College works alongside the local clubs to provide opportunities for students to play hockey on a weekly basis.

Waimea College 1st XI boys and 1st XI girls hockey teams are selected in Term 2 to play in school exchanges and against other local secondary schools. These teams then go on to play in their respective National Secondary School Hockey tournament, which takes place during Winter Tournament Week.

Depending on the number of players we have each year, we may enter a schools team into the local competition to play on a Friday night.

The Hockey season is played in Term 2 and Term 3.
