Sunday was perfect conditions for the semi finals.

Mel Reid and Carolynn Darby were up against Sharon Leonard and Janice Williams. Leonard got away to a flyer and Janice lead well.  Reid came back to be three down in the last end. Reid had shots sitting and just needed one or two shots to go to an extra end but it wasn't to be with Leonard getting the win 16 - 17.

In the other semi final Chrissy Herbert and Carol Fowler of Pleasant Point played Debbie Jackson and Sam McAuliffe of Kia Toa.  Chrissy lead well and Carol put up some outstanding bowls.  Sam and Deb played well but couldn't match Fowler getting the win  19 - 8.

The final game was a cracker and a  great display of bowls played in prefect conditions.

With Chrissy and Carol getting off to a great start with five shots in first two ends, Janice and Sharon chipped away, and the score sea-sawed until the last two ends with Chrissy and Carol picking up two shots on each end to give them the win 15 - 13.

It was great to see these two development players getting a win and to see some new faces playing.  Thank you to those clubs supporting and encouraging players to play in centre events.

Thanks to Kia Toa for hosting this event.
