The South Canterbury Men's Senior bowls representative team had a poor performance in the Super 6's played in Christchurch over the weekend. With a couple players unavailable the team should have performed better and this would be a disappointing result for the  selectors, and they will have to do a bit of soul searching thinking about the National Intercentre next month. It is fair to say that it is a tough event but a better performance was expected.

In the Singles Dave Wood had good wins over Marlborough and Nelson. In the Pairs Sam Morton and Nigel Mobberley just managed to draw against Canterbury 18 all, but they did have close games. Meanwhile the other pair of  Dave McNeill and Ricky Ross had two wins against Dunedin first up, and Central Otago in the last game. The four of Dean Harper, Alphy Trevathan, Dave Curtis, and Aaron Taylor won their last game against Marlborough convincingly and had some narrow losses.
