Schoolboy Section - Run very well with Bill Young as president. An increase in numbers was very encouraging. There is a very enthusiastic Committee with alot of fundraising done.
Senior Section - Fielded two teams. The Seniors now called Premier Grade and Senior B Senior. New jerseys purchased - same colours as before but different design. Premiers played in the South Canterbury combined competition and in spite of Valley wanting to play in the South Canterbury Competition with the Senior team, other North Otago clubs would not part take and the Seniors played North Otago teams in a local only competition. This competition was thwart with defaults in the early stages with Valley and Kurow being the only consistent teams. However as the season progressed other teams grew stronger. Valley went on to again win the Burns Shield for the 3rd year in a row with the finals victory over Athletic by 42-17.

Social events included a country and Western, Lipsink night which was a huge success and a very well attended end of year social. The usual after match functions drew great crowds.
A 2004 Players trip to Australia was suggested, a committee formed and fundraising started with about 19 firm names.
