Presidents - There were only two North Otago teams entered in the competition Valley and Athletic. We played in the South Canterbury Competition with Paeroa, Celtic, Old Boys and Harliquins. We had a very successful season with South Canterbury playing their own final (although we beat every team) and the Burns Shield final was played against Athletic which Valley comfortably won 43-17.

Premier - A very short season finishing mid June due to the World Cup. We played two rounds and made it to the semi-finals where we lost to Athletic. We managed to beat every team during the season and only missed out on playing in the final by going down 33-32.

Fundraising - Amanda Notman headed the Social Committee and had some good functions in the clubrooms with both netball and rugby. The annual motorcross was again cancelled due to wet weather and unavailability of a course through one farmers property due to the farm being sold. $4500 was raised through helping with the Otago Cavalcade which concluded in Oamaru at the Racecourse. The Valley Club was responsible for erecting marques and security. The Council dropped 30 trees at the northern end of the ground and gave all the logs to the Club for firewood.
