JAB - Record registrations with 85 players registered. President Bill Young.

Senior - With 6 local teams entered it meant that teams no longer had to travel to Timaru. Player shortage by some team meant that 12 aside was sometimes played in order for the players to have rugby. The team made it to the semi-finals but were defeated by Excelsior. 

Premier - Coaches Don Roney and Dave Hunter, Manager Duncan Kingan. The first round was incorporated into the Dunedin Division 2 competition. Dunedin teams wouldn’t travel so the first 5 games meant travel to Dunedin. valley went through the Dunedin games undefeated. The local competition was closely fought. Valley went through to the semi-finals as top qualifiers beating Maheno in the semis but losing the Citizens Shield final to Old Boys.

Fundraising - Firewood and Motorcross Rally were to major fundraisers  for the club with approx $20,000 being raised between the two events. numbers increased for 350 to 540 riders for the motorcross.

The club was once again well represented in the North Otago Representative team. Nathan Cunningham was elected captain. The third successive captain  from the Valley Club. He however sustained a serious arm injury early in the season and could not play through the Heartland Championship.Scott Meyhew sustained a broken ankle whilst playing against Poverty Bay. Other representatives; Fiatu Tuamaholea, Tobias Sekona, Josh Collier, Mike Mavor, Nick Webster
