The Senior B team had a wonderful season. They played good open enjoyable rugby and after loosing the first game of the season continued on to be unbeaten for the rest of the season. They played Athletic in the final for the Burns Shield and in the great battle on a very muddy, heavy field battled out to a 5 all draw. The score was locked at 5 all after 80 minutes and a further 20 minutes of extra time couldn’t separate the teams. Nathan Mavor scored Valleys try and the Trophy was shared for the season.Craig Smith was awarded the North Otago Rugby Union Trophy for the most points in the season for Senior B. Total points were 47 from tries, penalties and conversions.

The senior team started strongly , wilted slightly in the latter stages but finished the season by winning the Citizens Shield for the 2nd year running. They went into the final against athletic complete underdogs having been beaten by them 3 times in the previous games. They won 8-3 with Craig Cottier scoring a try and James Symes kicking a penalty. Young winger Dean Patterson fresh from Waitaki Boys High School 1st fifteen the previous year was awarded the top try scorer for the North Otago Senior Competition for the year with 14 tries. The senior team for the season won the Citizens Shield, Mollison Cup, Otago Daily Times Cup, James Taylor Trophy and the Muldrew Shield. 

Social Scene - Events for the year were well patronised with many great nights in the clubrooms. Events included lipsink night, golf tournament and a mystery bus tour. The major event for the year was the Victory Ball held at Brookfield and was supported by 120 people.

Player of the year - Robert Borst 

NZ Legends Dean Paterson was selected  and played for the NZ Legends vs Austrailia Legends test which was played in Queenstown. The teams were made up of X-All Blacks and Wallabies and celebrities and is an annual fixture. Dean was selected as a up and coming promising player a scored 3 tries and kicked 5 conversions.An honour for Dean and Club a like.
